Split a PDF or extract a few pages

Split PDF lets you pull out an appendix or a few pages you need to send, or divide a long file into equal parts.

Steps

  1. Choose a PDF fileOpen Split PDF and choose one PDF file.
  2. Choose how to split“By page range”: enter e.g. 1-3, 5, 8-10; each comma-separated group becomes one file. “Every N pages”: enter the number of pages per file.
  3. Press splitThe button changes with your choice: “Extract pages to a new file” when there's only one group, or “Split into” with the number of files when there are several.
  4. DownloadOne group gives one PDF file. Several groups are bundled into one .zip file, with each part's name showing its pages.

Tips

  • Need only page 5: enter “5”.
  • To split a contract by appendix: enter each appendix's page range, separated by commas.
  • Need to delete, rotate or reorder pages: press “Keep editing” to open the PDF editor.

Good to know

  • A file with only one page has nothing to split.
  • Page numbers outside the file are flagged right below the input box.
